Accessibility Statement

Accessibility at the Ontario Energy Board

The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (the “AODA”), and more specifically the regulations made under that Act, developed province-wide mandatory standards for accessibility in the following areas: customer service; employment; information and communications; transportation; and the design of public spaces. Statement of Commitment

The OEB is committed to providing a barrier-free environment for all stakeholders, including our clients/customers, employees, job applicants, suppliers, the public and any visitors who may enter our premises, access our information, or use our services. At the OEB, we are committed to providing our services in a way that respects the dignity and independence of people with disabilities. In this respect, we will provide accessible information and communication support to all, and recognize that persons with disabilities may require information in accessible formats.

Accessibility Policies and Plans

The OEB has developed an Accessibility Policy to specify how the OEB will provide services to people with disabilities.

The OEB has also developed a multi-year Accessibility Plan that outlines what the OEB is going to do to identify, remove, and prevent accessibility barriers at the OEB. This plan will be amended as required and will be reviewed, in full, by December 31, 2017 and every five (5) years thereafter. Standard and accessible formats of this document are free on request using any of the listed methods of contact.
