DSC Notice of Amendment: DER Data Sharing with IESO

The OEB has amended the Distribution System Code (DSC) requiring licensed electricity distributors to share information, upon request, about distributed energy resources that are connected to their distribution systems with the Independent Electricity System Operator.

The amendments also update the connection agreement templates in Appendix E to improve customer awareness and ensure consistent disclosure of distributors’ information-sharing obligations.

The amendments, which are responsive to the Minister of Energy and Mines’ Integrated Energy Planning Directive, come into force on August 1, 2026.
